How long before wedding should I bring in my dress?
Varies according to your preference. I like brides to
bring their dress in three months before wedding as
this allows brides to come once a month for fittings
and not feel stressed with details right before
wedding. Some have brought gowns several months
in advance. Others shortly before wedding.
How many times will I need to come for fittings?
Minimum of three appointments. First appointment is
consultation, modeling dress, getting price quote.
Second fitting is trying on dress to see if dress fits
properly. Third fitting is to try on dress to make sure
it fits just right. If everything looks good, then dress
goes home with you that day.

Custom Plus Size Wedding Gown
How long does it take to make custom wedding
dress?
Amount of time varies according to bride, but the
process usually takes around three months. This
time frame allows for fittings, discussing design
elements and shopping for fabric. This process can
be done in less time, but there is more stress
involved in finding materials quickly. We can talk as
soon as you know what style you like, which can be
a year or more in advance of wedding.
Who purchases fabric for my wedding dress?
Since this is a custom dress for you, you get to shop
for fabric and trim. That way, you have exactly the
fabric and colors that you like. I purchase the
lining/underlining fabric (which becomes underslip
of actual dress).
How many fittings does it take when making a
custom wedding dress or bridesmaid gown?
It takes 5-15 fittings depending on complexity of
design and adjustments that may need to be made
on garment. There is no extra charge for fittings, this
is included in cost of garment.
How much does it cost for a custom wedding dress?
Price varies greatly depending on style and
complexity of dress. My starting price for a custom
plus size dress is $699 This is a for a basic dress
without ruching, beading, skirt overlays, etc. It also
does not include the cost of material (which varies
according to preference of bride.) The more
elaborate the dress, the more you will pay for
someone to create the dress of your dreams.
